Weekend with Mom

This past weekend Mom came up from Durban to spend the weekend with Jenni and I, help me pin my wedding dress and do all the bits and bobs for the wedding that I need her help with - like shopping. LOL I picked Mom up from the airport on Friday, and we spent the afternoon at home, drinking tea, showing her my wedding stuff, pinning and discussing flower arrangements. On Friday night we then went to watch Jann's show at Emperors, along with Mike's family. The show was awesome (again) and everyone really loved it. On Saturday morning we woke up early, had some breakfast and went to Grandiflora. We checked out all the flowers, bought some wedding stuff, like oasis, doo-dahs, table number holders and containers to hold the flowers on the reception tables. Initially I had wanted enamel buckets, but Mom managed to change my mind and we ended up buying pot things made of little logs. I think they are gonna look great!

After Grandiflora, we did a spot of shopping at the local factory shop and then visited some nurseries to buy compost for the bulbs I had bought and wanted to plant. That night we went off to Mike's folks place for dinner.

Sunday we got out of bed early to plant aforementioned bulbs, and to tack some bits onto my dress. Then it was off to Pretoria to see Jenni, pick up some food and go to the Botanical Gardens for the day. Mike and his parents joined us there later and we strolled around the gardens with them.

It really was an awesome weekend!!! :0)
